Backpack Home Translations of Changes to the Specialized High School Admissions Test

As noted in the January 18 edition of Principals' Weekly, in order to better align the Specialized High Schools Admissions Test (SHSAT) with the instruction students receive in their classrooms, the DOE has made test-design changes beginning with the fall 2017 administration. Translated versions of the previously released FAQs are now available here, in nine DOE languages. Our staff will print and send home the translated FAQs to seventh- and eighth-grade students who read languages other than English, so that they can prepare for the SHSAT this coming fall. For more information on the SHSAT, see here.
